Look at the Sony web site. They may require you do buy a special adapter to use a HDMI cable. Please read the fine print people. Stop being fangirls and think. Go to the bottom of the page and read the small print. I hope its not true but it could be.

I got a 1 year warranty from M$ when I purchased my 360 at launch. I got a letter in the mail yesterday stating that my warranty is good through feb 08.
Crappy scans. Lets get some nice hi-res shots. JIN KAZAMA 187 chill out. 1080p 720p 1080i who cares. From what Sony has shown in 720p it's good enough. Marketing campains must be getting to gamers. Just buy and play the console. Go see 1080p in person, it's not that big a deal. I look at crappy blu-ray movies in 1080p every time I got to bestbuy. I wish Sony and M$ would stop the crap.
Xbox 1 was was superior to PS2
xbox1 was cheaper (4 controller support, built in ethernet, more analog buttons on controller, HDD built in).
Sony forced you to build up the PS2. This was okay with the Japanese. If all the games on PS3 were on 360 it still would not matter. It's called brand loyalty. PS3 is bigger than the 360, has no japanese RPG's at launch(lots of western games). PS3 will kill the 360. M$ should just save millions and come back home and focus on the 30 ...
Please wait for Sony to tell you what will come with the PS3. Also no price release on the HD-DVD add-on. Sony will not gice you HD cables with the PS3 either. They may also require another adapter to use HDMI. Maybe we all should wait before we start adding up prices. The biggest difference is the M$ does not force you to buy a blu-ray movie player, and Sony does. What about little Tommy that could care less about movies. He will be buying a blu-ray player anyway. So if he has no HDT...
The first, and only console that plays games in HD out of the box. This still will not help against the PS3 in Japan.

The PS3 is more owerful. Too many 3rd party dev have said this. I take there word over M$ and Sony. You guys need to stop with it. Sony is a electronics copany M$ is a software company. Capcom will stop support of the western console once the PS3 launches. Just look at how much DR has sold. Lost Planet will also do well. The only reason that Capcom has not to support M$ is because of a Sony payoff, or the fact that M$ is an American company.

I wondered the same thing myself. The truth is bestbuy get a rebate from Sony for selling BR players of about $400. As for HD-DVD they get $100. It's about $$$$. If you were a store what would you do. The only thing that looks good on the BR players are the demos. Sony can't get TRUE 1080p movies on single layer BR movies. If dev spend the time and $$$ on great games then there is no worry. Halo1 was $50 for a long time. At best it was $45 used. This is because Halo 1 was a great game. If we quit buying junk (re-hashed games) then this will not be an issue. If this is true then I feel for the renters, and me. I love getting used games. I go to Game Rush (blockbuster video) and get "buy two gent one free" offers alot. $40 for 3 good games, who can beat that?
